MELISSA'S WEDDING

 CHARLESTON, SOUTH CAROLINA

Melissa and her guests packed their bags and headed for Charleston, South Carolina for her destination wedding at a restored plantation on the Ashley river. " I was going for a summer garden party look and my colors were yellow, pinks and corals." says Melissa. "The tables were set up in one large U shape for dining so that everyone was at one big table with the happy couple in the center."

The Style File

Melissa chose a ball gown style dress with a French lace bodice and full skirt with box pleats. "I was going for a traditional "princess" type dress that would fit with my traditional church wedding. I also wanted a "southern" look and the ivory french lace bodice was perfect." comments Melissa.

Jewelry Journal

Because the bodice of the gown was so elaborately detailed, Melissa decided she did not want to wear a necklace. "So I really wanted my earrings to shine but not be overpowering and they needed to go with the overall look and feel of my gown." says Melissa. "I chose the Melina Earrings because they looked vintage but still had enough sparkle to really stand out. They were the perfect compliment to my perfect gown."
