Our Bridal Jewelry Materials

Cubic Zirconia

Cubic zirconia stones are cut from laboratory-grown crystals. We believe that cubic zirconias are not merely affordable diamond substitutes, but unique stones that are beautiful in their own right, with their own clarity, color, and brilliance.

Our cubic zirconia jewelry is of the highest grade and clarity, making it an investment that will sparkle for a long, long time.

Crystals

Crystals are made by firing a combination of natural minerals and quartz sand. The combination is cooled slowly to avoid stress and inclusions - thus producing perfectly brilliant clear crystals for our crystal bridal jewelry.

Color is also often added to the crystal and firepolishing is another common treatment where the crystal takes on a metallic look.

Many of our crystal jewelry pieces are made exclusively with genuine Swarovski crystals. Since the company's inception in 1895, the Swarovski family has been known as the makers of the finest crystal in the world.

Pearls

Most of our pearl bridal jewelry is made from lustrous, glass pearls. These are faux pearls and because they have a perfect spherical shape they make for lovely symmetry in our jewelry. Faux pearls are not only beautiful, but very affordable.

Some of our of our pieces include freshwater pearls which are cultured pearls just like their saltwater cousins. That is, they are farmed. Freshwater pearls are most often irregular in shape, usually oval with a beautiful pearl luster.

Rhinestones

The "Rhine" in rhinestone is the Rhine River in France. Originally a rhinestone was a kind of rock crystal that was found in or near that river but now it refers to a sparkling artificial gem made from crystal, glass or acrylic. These stones are more reflective than cubic zirconia or crystals so rhinestone bridal jewelry provides maximum sparkle.

Sterling Silver

Many of our keepsake jewelry pieces such are made from sterling silver, a blend of 92.5% silver and 7.5% copper. Silver needs the strength of copper since it's too soft to stand on its own to become sterling silver. The result is a strong and brilliant white - silver metal.

Electroplated White Gold

Several of our pieces are made with "electroplated white gold". White gold is made by combining real gold and nickel to form a durable metal with a silver shine. Electroplating is the process of covering a non-precious metal with a thin film of white gold. The piece of jewelry is set in a chemical solution through which an electric current flows to coat it with the white gold. White gold electroplating gives jewelry a brilliant silver shine and protects it from discoloration.
